Rocky Run Lacrosse Club was founded in 2003 by three Anne Arundel County lacrosse
players. From 2003 to 2006 the team compiled a 58-33 record including a Howard
County summer league championship and playoff and appearances in national tournaments
such as: Bump and Grind (Miami, FL.), Lake Placid Summit Lacrosse tournament (Lake
Placid N.Y.) and the Lax Classic (Baltimore, MD).
In 2006 Rocky Run Lacrosse Club was re-formed as Charm City Lacrosse Club and adopted
the Warhawk as the team mascot. The Charm City Warhawks are a member of the American
Lacrosse League which is the nation's largest post collegiate club lacrosse league.
In the ALL, the Warhawks have competed for division titles in the Mid-Atlantic
region, with a league semi-final appearance in 2008 and 2009.
The team is comprised of players with Division I, II, III, and JUCO collegiate levels
of experience. The Warhawks are an eclectic, and very diverse group who give back
to the community by volunteering with local youth and high school lacrosse teams.
The character and determination of the Charm City Warhawks will help to spread the
positive traits of lacrosse for years to come.
